The Putnam County community continues to support our annual campaign to ensure that needy families receive new or gently-used coats.  Coat collections take place all across the county including all elementary, middle and high schools.

Coats are distributed each year at the Putnam County Fairgrounds, most recently as a part of National Night Out.  There are no forms to complete, and no interviews are required. If your child is in need of a coat, please contact your school counselor.

The Putnam County Fairgrounds is the location for this national, community event scheduled annually for the first Tuesday in August. Target population are families with children in elementary to middle school.

This is one event where over thirty-five local serving agencies come together for one evening to promote the health, safety and well being of all Putnam County children.

The PCYDC is excited to be hosting its second annual Lip Sync Battle! The fundraiser is set for Saturday, February 12th, at the Putnam County Fairgrounds' Community Building.

The nine teams for this year's event will be representing Shuee's Furniture & Mattress, Putnam County Law Enforcement, The Warehouse, Cummins, our agricultural community, The Green Room Salon & Spa, Central Elementary, Teacher's Credit Union, and the Merkel family.

Teams have committed to raising a minimum of $2,000 and business sponsorships for the event are also available at several different levels:

Gold - $2,500

Silver - $1000

Bronze - $500

Each $50 ticket for dinner and the show will come with one voting ballot. Audience members will have the chance to purchase additional ballots for $5 each.

All proceeds from the event go to the Putnam County Youth Development Commission.

Tickets are sold out, but you can still vote for your favorite team by donating to their efforts via Venmo: @PCYDC
