Lip Sync Team Challenge to help raise funds

Set for Saturday, May 11 at the Putnam County Fairgrounds Community Building, the Lip Sync Team Challenge will be the chief fundraiser for the Putnam County Youth Development Commission in 2019. A total of 12 teams from around the county will compete for the title.

Representing their teams at the kickoff meeting Thursday night are (front from left) Jill Albers of North Putnam Community Schools, Penny Long of Fillmore Elementary School, Elizabeth Kirsch of Kirsch Family Dentistry, Bryan Langdoc of Gobin United Methodist Church, Yo Goodpaster of Greencastle High School, (back) Ashley Burns of First National Bank, Amy Clark of RE/MAX Cornerstone, Peggy Lilly of Area 30 Career Center, Elizabeth Meyer of Endeavor Communications and Greg Linton of Cloverdale Community Schools. Not pictured are representatives of the Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce and Putnam County Hospital teams.

Like its predecessor did a decade earlier, the Lip Sync Team Challenge takes a concept made popular on TV (in this case Jimmy Fallon’s lip sync battles from “The Tonight Show”) and localizes it in the hopes of revealing hidden talents of prominent community members.

Cost of the event is $50 per ticket or a table of eight for $400. Tickets will be available at the PCYDC office 10-1/2 N. Jackson St., Greencastle, from March 15 through April 15.

For more information, call the PCYDC office at (765) 653-9342.
